Are you a frustrated rock star, always dreamt of performing at your own live gig? Weekend Warriors is a programme that gives older lapsed musicians (age 35+ years) a unique opportunity to join a band, and start rocking again.
Each programme includes:
- Induction evening
- Rehersal sessions
- Live gig at a local venue
All equipment and rehersal space is provided along with advice and guidance to help you achieve your full potential.

The Weekend Warriors is a once in a lifetime opportunity for musicians to develop their skills and create new and lasting musical partnerships. In many cases Warriors continue to play with their new band long after the programme has finished.

How you can join in:
Weekend Warriors is managed by the Music Industries Association's (MIA) and they help stores around the country run each programme. It was started in the US in 1993 where it is run by NAMM The International Music Producers Association.

PROGRAMME DETAILS & BENEFITS
- Induction Session, 2 hours
- 5x 2 hour practice sessions, 1 facilitator/band
- Performance gig at the Luminaire
- Programme support coordinator
- Equipment hire - guitars, bass, drums, microphones, associated equipment*
- Certificate of Completion
- Additional specialist tutor hire (Paid at tutor hourly rate, usually between £27 and £35 per hour)
- Specialist musician hire e.g. for practice, deps (£10/hour)
- Additional room hire for practice sessions (£20/hour)**
- Drum booth hire (£10/hour)***
- Institute part-time course discount (15% off advertised part-time course fees for registered Warriors)
* Equipment available free of charge for practice sessions and gig; not available to take home
