Emer McParlandHead of Vocals
Emer McParland has sung on numerous movie soundtracks such as 'Sleepy Hollow', 'The Gangs of New York' and 'The Mummy Returns'. Her credits in the world of pop include artists such as Peter Gabriel, Jarvis Cocker, Bjork, and Spiritualised.
BayoSpecialising in virtuoso rock and contemporary R&B vocals, Bayo's singing lessons are in constant demand. Past students who have benefited from his individual tuition range from X Factor and Big Brother finalists to Sony BMG and EMI recording artists.
Me'sha BryanMe'Sha's studio work includes singing on tracks for Kylie Minogue, Victoria Beckham, S Club 7, The Appletons & Jennifer Ellison. She has also performed live all over the world with many artists including The Counterfeit Stones, Beverley Knight, Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry.
Sophie DanielsSophie Daniels has combined writing, recording, performing, managing and promoting big name artists and music products. Now focusing on a career in song writing, she has recorded an album with new band The Love Stories, has written songs for Laura Welsh & Rachael Warwick and writes and peforms her own country pop material with Dario Cortese.
Susan BlairSusan has acted as Musical Director and Vocal Coach on various hit plays such as The Lion King and The Sound of Music. She acted as Head of the Vocal Department of the largest music institute in Rotterdam as well as teaching vocal techniques at the Amsterdam Academy of the Arts.
Jenny HoweJenny joined the National Youth Jazz Orchestra as a vocalist in 1992 and toured extensively with them in the UK and abroad, appearing several times at Ronnie Scotts. She was also the featured solo singer on the soundtrack to the film The Brylcreem Boys, performing the title track at the Cannes film festival.
Marilyn DavidMarilyn's broad experience as a performer ranges from singing live and on TV sessions backing such artists as Luther Vandross, Diana Ross, Bonnie Tyler and Petula Clark, among others, to being the vocalist behind numerous TV and Radio commercials in Europe and the USA.
Becky JonesBecky Jones currently fronts and manages Redstar, a band who has written and recorded two EP’s, secured a distribution deal with Pinnacle and released their song, ‘Follow Me’ on a Hed Kandi Compilation Album, selling 25,000 copies worldwide in its initial release.
Anjali PerinAnjali is the newest acquisition to the Institute, she is a young British vocalist, pianist, violinist and composer specialising in jazz, funk and soul.
Barbara AmoakoheneBarbara is a talented singer songwriter who has recently completed a BMus Honours in Popular Music Performance. As well as teaching at the Institute, Barbara also runs a Pop Vocal Workshop within Stagecoach, has joined the Voxbox team as a pre-certified tutor and regularly performs with her original Funky House & Disco band; Kohene.
