Johan Englund, a native of Sweden, has spent all of his working life in studios! An early passionate interest in music and a mutual friend meant that he began his career as in in-house engineer at one of Sweden’s most prestigious studios, before he relocated to the UK to broaden his skills and career.

He is an expert in the use of Pro Tools and logic, for which he is a certified trainer, and the use of most pro audio packages. He is also totally at home with all the important professional studio equipment, from the largest consoles down to the smallest outboard.

However, he is much more than just a ‘backroom technician’. He plays a range of instruments and has written, produced and recorded for a wide range of artists, from Jellyman to Inessa, and is house producer for EMI.

His latest work has involved him working with Jony Rockstar, producer to the Sugababes.
