Since studying classical percussion, drumkit and piano at Dartington College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, Tristan Maillot has performed and recorded with countless UK and international artists including, Art Farmer, Jim Hall, Bobby Shew, Scott Hamilton, Norma Winstone, Tina May, Claire Martin, Stacey Kent, Peter King, Stan Tracy, Dave Newton, Jim Mullen, Bobby Wellins, Elaine Delmar, Nikki Iles, Dave O’ Higgins, Alan Barnes, Jackie Ryan, Damon Brown, Gerard Presencer, the BBC Concert Orchestra, and GRP recording artists, Acoustic Alchemy.

As a drum teacher and tutor he has taught at the Musicians Institute, and as well as being a drum tutor at the Institute of Contemporary Music Perfrmance he currently teaches at Trinity College of Music.

Forever in demand, Tristan can currently be seen playing drums with The Christian Brewer Quintet, The John Critchinson Quartet, The Gareth Williams Acoustic Trio, and The Kate Williams Trio.

He can also be heard drumming on forthcoming albums by Jim Watson, The Chris Lee Project, The Kate Williams Trio, and on The Christian Brewer Quintet’s, Live at Ronnie Scott’s.
