The ICMP worked in partnership with Mapex/Paiste and Drummer Magazine on the 2010 ICMP drum scholarship programme! 

The Higher Diploma is a specialist one-year full-time course developed by the Institute to train and develop drum students from all over the world for a career in the music industry.  Institute graduates go on to establish diverse careers within the industry.  For example, Nathan Williams, a previous ICMP drum scholarship winner, has gone on to become an endorsee of Mapex, working with Estelle, Lee Ryan and Lauren Hill as well as being musical director for artists such as Kele le Roc, Shola Ama and Duncan James.

The lucky winner will receive:

• a free place, worth £5,250, on the Institute's famous Higher Diploma course starting in October 2010
•  the chance to experience the fantastic tuition and facilities at the Institute in London
• bespoke artist development guidance
• opportunities for performance showcases
• the chance to contribute a regular feature in Drummer, the UK's leading specialist drum publication.

One runner-up will receive a £2,600 award for study on the same programme.  Applications are invited from students both from the UK and internationally.
