The ICMP, formerly known as Basstech, in partnership with Musicman and Bass Guitar Magazine, is proud to announce the launch of the 2010 ICMP bass scholarship programme!
The Higher Diploma is a specialist one-year full-time course developed by the Institute to train and develop bass students from all over the world for a career in the music industry. Institute graduates go on to establish diverse careers within the industry. For example, Beni Giles, a previous ICMP bass scholarship winner, was selected to play in Gary Go’s band as the support act for Lady Gaga, playing regularly in front of crowds of more than 10,000 people. Beni is now pursuing his solo career with an album due out in 2010.

One runner-up will receive a £2,600 award for study on the same programme. Applications are invited from students both from the UK and internationally.
