The Sonic Hearts are a band hailing from Liverpool who have been snapped up by label giants; EMI.

The Institute was extremely lucky to be playing host to lead singer Sean Francis Butler who stopped by in the midst of a UK tour which has seen the Sonic Hearts headlining their own gigs as well as supporting Kubicheck!, Tiny Dancers, Amy MacDonald and Scouting for Girls.  

Sean was an instantly likeable chap with absolutely no ego and no arrogance. He was however, extremely confident and self-assured; A personality trait which will take him far in the highly competitive music industry which seems to be dominated by demanding, egotistical front men - I mention no names!!!

Sean was open, friendly and genuine. Every question asked by our students was answered honestly without hesitation. It was very apparent that he had not been prepped to ‘say this’ and ‘do not mention this’. Sean was kind enough to share his music and his experiences with our eager students, imparting the kind of advice which is imperative for our students to know.

The feedback from all of our students was fantastic; feeling that they really gained an honest and invaluable insight into what it’s like to be a signed act. The Sonic Hearts have definitely gathered some more fans, we look forward to having them back one day!
