Music Industry Connections

Being located in London (the world's music capital) is of huge importance to aspiring musicians and creative artists. With thousands of the most important and influential venues, promoters, labels, managers, agents and events right on our doorstep, the Institute can facilitate the development of your network and make sure the opportunities come your way.

The Institute has regular contact with promoters, managers, A&R and record label executives. The ICMP also employs a dedicated Industry Liaison Manager, James Brister, who is on hand full time to help students and alumni get the best gigs to showcase their material and develop their profiles. In James's view "the ICMP is the perfect place for talented musicians and creative artists to gain success in what is a complex and highly competitive industry" No other school has the resources and connections combined with a London location - and being in the music capital is critical for success!'

In addition to James and his team, the ICMP counts on an experienced and respected support staff who are committed to supporting the development of your career, including such people as:

  • Jason Guy A former Marketing Director at Chrysalis, Polydor, Island and Sony UK, who has worked with acts such as Sting, Jamiroquai, The Coral and Janet Jackson.
