Steve Proud
Steve Proud, EMI’s A&R guru, headed into the Institute to give a talk about A&R, his background and the importance of image. He also listened to demo's from around the room and offered some sound advice for the audience.
Steve worked in A&R for Atlantic Records, discovered Snowfield (who became The Editors) and was the first person to offer a contract to the Arctic Monkeys (other acts include Spinto Band, Tiny Dancers and Does It Offend You Yeah)!
Steve also regularly DJ’s around London as well as festivals such as Bestival and Secret Garden Party.He’ll be dropping in to the Institute on Wednesday 21st May.
