Richard and Steve are two players of undeniable pedigree; Richard is the Professor of guitar at California's USC and Steve is a long-standing member of the faculty. The focus of their clinic was based around the art of playing as a guitar duo, but inevitably with two such diverse musicians, the subjects touched upon were wide ranging. Richard talked of his use of flamenco techniques in a contemporary style and his unique approach to octave playing, while Steve demonstrated his jaw-dropping country chops as well as some great hot-club stylings. Both of these highly experienced educators were experts at communicating the concepts under discussion and it was a real treat and honour to have them drop into school!
