It's always fantastic to have guitar legend Jennifer Batten return to give a masterclass at our school, and it was a great mixture of fun and information.

As usual, her jawdropping two-handed technique was on display, but she spoke about much more during her clinic. Her touring experiences, both with Michael Jackson on numerous tours, her own personal hero Jeff Beck and Britney Spears - were fascinating! 

She has always been a guitarist with an adventurous ear for effects, and she was very detailed in explaining the way she creates some of those textures. Her use of the whammy pedal is particularly cool; it is a very natural extension to her instrument.  Jennifer Batten has found her own unique voice on her instrument, and we can vouch for the very positive effect that had on our students.
