Legendary founder of creation records, Alan McGee, exclusively at the Institute
Alan McGee is most notably known for founding the music label, Creation Records (1983-2000) where he signed and managed such huge acts as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream and The Libertines. However, his best known success story is Oasis, who he signed to Creation in the 1990’s.

Mick Cervino
Mick Cervino, a pro since the age of 16, dropped by The Institute to give a bass masterclass during which he shared some of his techniques and experiences.

Thomas Lang
Lang was formally educated at the Vienna Conservatory of Music where he was the youngest student. After leaving he began working professionally with artists including Falco, John Wetton & Bonnie Tyler. His solo release, “Mediator” topped the charts in Europe, garnering rave reviews for its innovative Jazz/Dance/Prog Rock sound.

Emer McParland
The Institute welcomed singer and vocalist Emer McParland to its premises to present a Jazz Improvisation Workshop.

Rob Balducci
We were very proud to have Favourite Nations artist Rob Balducci present a masterclass at school recently. The Institute welcomed his appearance while he was on tour in the UK.

Frank Gambale
Guitarist Frank Gambale hosted a masterclass at the Institute to share with the students his jaw-dropping talent.

The Institute was very happy to welcome Afro-Cuban drumming sensation Phil Maturano in the school to give a world-class drum clinic.

The last time ‘King Bass’ was in the UK was nearly 30 years ago and this was the first time he has ever held a clinic here, so to have the opportunity for our students to talk to someone of Chuck Rainey's stature and experience was without parallel.

Nick Raymonde
The Institute was lucky to have Nick Raymonde of Destiny Management come in to give an industry-style masterclass to our vocal students. The topic: looking at how songwriting works within the record industry.

Charlie Chandler
The Institute's old friend Charlie Chandler came in for a visit recently and was nice enough to put some time aside to give our students a masterclass on guitar and bass maitenance.

BFD have become the market leader in drum programming software and John Emrich was at the Institute on Thursday 3rd April to host a special performance event demonstrating how to work with this groundbreaking technology.
