Jon Gomm 

Jon Gomm - March 11th 

A graduate of the Guitar Institute, songwriter and performer Jon Gomm returns to the ICMP to give an exclusive masterclass.  With experience performing and touring with some of the most respected names on the acoustic circuit such as Tommy Emmanuel and Nick Harper, this is not an event to miss!

 

Pat Petrillo  Pat Petrillo - March 25th  

At the forefront of the drumming community, not only as a drummer for legends Gloria Gaynor and Patti LaBelle, but also as a world-class clinician, Pat Petrillo will visit the ICMP for a masterclass covering hand techniques, grooves, fill ideas, 'the business of music', as well as host a question and answer session.

 
Laurence Cottle  Laurence Cottle - April 15th 

ICMP visiting faculty member Laurence Cottle will return to the school for what is sure to be an amazing bass masterclass.  He has played bass with many of the world's great musicians such as Sting, Cher, Seal and Brian Eno and he has recorded for films including Lethal Weapon.

 Dave and Darren

Dave Marks & Darren Ashford - April 19th  

For all instruments, this groove-based masterclass features two of the ICMP's finest, bass tutor Dave Marks and drum tutor Darren Ashford, presenting a progressive approach to developing your sense of time and feel, helping to unlock the secrets behind a selection of 'classic' grooves.  This masterclass will be held in association with the Rhythm of London festival.

Tom Doughty - April 22nd 

The ICMP will welcome fingerstyle master Tom Doughty for an exclusive masterclass.  Specialising in slide guitar, Tom is a master of his craft and will share tips and tricks, as well as his experience in the industry from recording to technique.

Amit 

Amit Chatterjee - May 17th 

Visiting faculty member Amit Chatterjee will return to the ICMP to host one of his always popular masterclasses.  A guitarist and musician of international repute, Amit will bring his inspiring insights into contemporary music to students, as well as perform with members of the ICMP faculty.

Mattias Freak Kitchen   Mattias 'IA' Eklundh 

Considered to be one of the most groundbreaking and innovative guitarists of our time, Mattias made a visit to the ICMP for an exclusive masterclass!  Known for his work with bands including Freak Kitchen, Frozen Eyes and The Jonas Hellborg Trio, he has also released several notable solo albums.

Mark Schulman  Mark Schulman

A master drummer, Mark is constantly staying on top of his game with a career of studio work, profile tours worldwide and TV appearances with Pink, Simple Minds, Billy Idol, Tina Turner, Beyonce and more!  The ICMP welcomed Mark for a masterclass on his experience, techniques and tips.

 Martin Ranscombe Martin Ranscombe

Sponsored by Mapex, Martin Ranscombe is a professional drummer and teacher who specializes in drum set tuning education. He regularly holds drum clinics nationwide and is often featured in Rhythm magazine. The ICMP welcomed him as he hosted an informative masterclass focused on drum tuning and how to get the best sound from any kit.

 Steven Machat Music Business Masterclass with Steven Machat 

Steven Machat, author of 'Gods, Gangsters & Honour', came to the ICMP to deliver a masterclass on his incredible experience in the music industry.  Son of a legendary showbiz lawyer, Steven has worked with some of the industry's biggest names including Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Suge Knight and Michael Jackson.

 Hugh Burns  Hugh Burns 

The ICMP welcomed Hugh Burns for an exclusive guitar masterclass focusing on fingerstyle latin and spanish guitar styles.  With credits that include performing and recording with Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, as well as work with leading producers like George Martin, Hugh has firmly established his reputation as a world class guitarist.

 Paul Simm  Paul Simm 

Songwriter, musician and producer specialising in contemporary R&B and pop, Paul Simm has written hits for acts including the Sugababes and Eagle Eye Cherry and produced albums for the likes of Groove Armada.  Hosting a songwriting workshop for ICMP students, Paul spoke about his experiences and gave advice to students on their pieces.

 Reggie Washington Reggie Washington 

Flying over from the U.S. to perform as part of the London Jazz Festival at Charlie Wright's Club, the ICMP welcomed the amazing Reggie Washington for an intensive bass masterclass.  With a career spanning over two decades, Reggie has performed with some of the music world's finest, including Lester Bowie and Branford Marsalis.

 Amy Studt Amy Studt 

Currently writing for Kylie Minogue, up-and-coming star Amy Studt hosted an exclusive songwriting masterclass for ICMP students before her headline gig at The Half Moon, Putney.  Supporting Amy at the gig were two ICMP students, Caitlin Kelly and winner of the 2009 Shure Creative Award, Zemmy.

 Carl Verheyen Carl Verheyen

Former member of Supertramp and L.A. session guitarist, Carl Verheyen, dropped by the ICMP to deliver an interactive masterclass.  Students got the chance to ask Carl about his experiences in bands and as a session musician, as well as perform for and with him.

 Dorian Holley  Dorian Holley

Dorian Holley visited the ICMP to give an exclusive industry and vocal audition masterclass, to be held at The Luminaire, Kilburn.  As the vocal coach on American Idol for the last 4 seasons and having toured with stars such as Rod Stewart, James Taylor and Lionel Richie, this was an incredible chance for students to get on stage to perform for critique.

 Richard Smith Richard Smith

Musical genius Richard Smith came to the ICMP for an exclusive masterclass. Practicing the jazz guitar intently since the age of 14, Smith has recorded albums which became some of the top discs in the early contemporary jazz genre. Students witnessed a live performance of he and his band, and got the chance to ask questions about recording, performing, and what it takes to be a professional player here and abroad.

Doug Wimbish & Will Calhoun

The ICMP were proud to welcome Living Colour's bassist Doug Wimbish and drummer Will Calhoun for an exclusive educational clinic.  With some of the most incredible experience in the industry, it was a fantastic chance to meet and learn from two of rocks most respected musicians.
