 About the Institute

The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is an independent school of contemporary music specialising in the delivery of full-time courses for guitar, bass, drums, vocals and songwriters. Located in North West London, the Institute has been established for over 20 years and delivers programmes that include Degree, Higher Diploma, Diploma, Certificate and part-time courses. 

About the role

The Institute is seeking a Programme Leader for a new and innovative Higher Education level course planned for launch in 2010.  This job holder will have a key role in the creation, implementation, management and delivery of the programme. The partial role will start at 0.4 but would be expected to grow as student numbers rise. The job holder will have overall responsibility for the development and launch of the programme, and the management, quality assurance and resource planning after the programme starts. The job holder will be required to liaise with external bodies as required.  The post holder would also be a member of the Institute’s Senior Academic Team and would thus have input into the recruitment/deployment of staff, development of teaching facilities and equipment requirements and overall quality assurance of our provision. The successful applicant would ideally have experience of working in education as a programme manager or module leader and would have a strong contemporary music background. The Programme Leader reports to the Operations Director and works closely with the other business functions in driving the overall development of the course. They will be required to undergo a CRB check

About the role

The job holder has overall responsibility for the ongoing management, delivery and continual improvement of the Higher Diploma Programme. It is a partial role currently set at 0.4. The job holder will have overall responsibility for the quality assurance, resource planning, and managing of the programme, as well as course development as required.
