Svetlana Vassileva

Svet joined the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance as a bass tutor straight after graduating with BMus Honours in 1999. Subsequently she toured the UK extensively with her band, The Vegastones (V2 records), supporting Duran Duran for their 2000 UK arena tour.
The following year Svet recorded another Vegastones album with producer Steve Power (Robbie Williams) and in 2003 joined Moby's band as bassist for a world tour which included closing the Glastonbury festival and supporting Robbie Williams' three consecutive shows at Knebworth.
Since then she has toured with Abs (supporting Beyonce Knowles) in 2004, recorded tracks for Busted and Paris (ex Fame Academy) and has completed her Masters in Music Performance.
Currently Svet is performing with the legendary British songwriter Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze) and writing material for her project Plastic Cinema (www.myspace.com/plasticcinema) featuring Faye Tozer (Steps) and Diane Charlemagne (Moby, Goldie) on vocals and the ICMP's own Justin Scott on drums.
